Functions of the AANZP
The functions of the AANZP are:
- Support the interests of members in the practice and teaching of prosthodontics.
- Promote and maintain the high ethical and professional standards of prosthodontists.
- Support prosthodontic research in Australia and New Zealand.
- Encourage the study of prosthodontics in Australia and New Zealand.
- Support and monitor graduate prosthodontic training programs in Australia and New Zealand.
- Promote the recognition of prosthodontics as a specialist branch of dentistry.
- Promote the clinical advancement of prosthodontics.
- Advise registration bodies on the requirements for specialist prosthodontic registration.
- Promote the appointment of AANZP members to hospital boards and public bodies.

be bigger and better with the introduction of pre-Convention workshops and multiple concurrent sessions.

Dental Health Week is a community awareness program coordinated and funded by the ADA. In 2009 the ADA is leading a campaign to target 55 year olds and over and has developed a range of Fact Sheets on oral health care. August 3rd - 9th is Dental Health Week.
