Corporate Profile

The purpose of the Society is to improve the oral health of the community by fostering the concept of safe pain and anxiety management techniques in dentistry.  ASDA promotes the knowledge and teaching of anaesthesia and sedation, and encourages the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety.  The Society disseminates current information on pain and anxiety management through meetings, seminars and its Newsletter.  It teaches techniques, both theory and practice, in well-established courses, and encourages research and study in these areas.

Dental Health Week is a community awareness program coordinated and funded by the ADA. In 2008 the ADA is leading a campaign to target 30-50 year olds and has developed a range of Fact Sheets on oral health care. August 4 - 10 is Dental Health Week
