Pierre Fauchard Academy


Corporate Profile 

The Pierre Fauchard Academy, founded in 1936, is an international honour dental organisation, which is comprised of fellows who have distinguished themselves in their commitment to and support of educational and research activities within the dental profession. Through its Foundation, the Academy provides grants for a range of academic and public health projects and programmes, as well as financial encouragement to dental undergraduate students.

The Academy is comprised of 10 sections; the Executive Committee of the Australasian Section (Section 8) for the period 1 July 2001 to 30 June 2004, is:

Dental Health Week is a community awareness program coordinated and funded by the ADA. In 2008 the ADA is leading a campaign to target 30-50 year olds and has developed a range of Fact Sheets on oral health care. August 4 - 10 is Dental Health Week
