Opportunity: 

A Dentist ‘with a view’ is sought for a busy high-gross general dental practice in Tasmania with scope to practise all aspects of dentistry.

Remuneration package would include:

  • Remuneration of 40% of gross fees less lab fees, including super
  • An initial agreed base income for the first 3 months, the situation then to be reviewed on a mutual basis.
  • A marketing allowance to promote the new dentist.
  • A continuing education allowance for an agreed period.

The region has one of the best dentist-patient ratios in Australia

The Practice

  • Purpose-built clinic adjoining other dental/paramedical units.
  • Three surgeries fully computerised with EXACT dental software (networked) and with email and internet access.
  • Principal Dentist, 2 Dental Nurses, Receptionist, Practice Manager and visiting Dental Therapist.
  • A high-gross, profitable practice working a 4-day week.
  • Most general dental procedures including relative analgesia, intravenous sedation, implants (using the ITI system), crown and bridgework and acrylic prosthetics, general anaesthetics and oral surgery with visiting rights at the nearby local public and private hospitals,

Dental Health Week is a community awareness program coordinated and funded by the ADA. In 2008 the ADA is leading a campaign to target 30-50 year olds and has developed a range of Fact Sheets on oral health care. August 4 - 10 is Dental Health Week
