Applications are invited for the full-time, confirmation path position of Colgate Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Periodontology and Oral Health in the Department of Oral Sciences. The Department is responsible for didactic and clinical teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels, including periodontology components of papers in the undergraduate programmes of dentistry and oral health (dental hygiene and therapy). The appointee will be responsible for teaching and contributing to the development and implementation of both of these programmes in the Faculty, as well as service within the University, clinical treatment and research. The Department seeks an innovative and forward looking person who will be able to contribute to research either through integration with existing research projects in the Department or by bringing new research directions and skills. Applicants must have dental and specialist periodontal qualifications registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand. Possession of a PhD is desirable; evidence of previous tertiary teaching and/or research ability is essential.
