Australian Dental Association - Dental Health Week 2007
Dental Health Week is upon us for another year, with our 2007 campaign being promoted from 30th July to 3rd August and the theme focusing on Oral Health for Young Adults (18-25 year olds).
Today, there is an estimated 2.1 million 18-25 year olds living in Australia with only half to have visited the dentist over a 12 month period and regardless of the fact that these young Australians are among the ‘fluoride’ generation, lifestyle factors place this age group into a high risk category for dental decay.
With such a specifically targeted theme, the ADA recognises that Dental Health Week is still to be enjoyed by all generations who wish to participate and actively promote good oral health. With this to consider, the ADA will continue to have general information and children’s activity sheets available below to read and download. We have also created a fun, generic poster to be enjoyed by all.
The ADA encourages all its members to use Dental Health Week as a great opportunity to become involved with your local community and to maintain that good oral health practices are essential to our well being and quality of life.
