Queen’s Birthday Honours 2008

A number of members of the dental profession were honoured in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours list as were persons recognized for their contribution to dentistry.
The Australian Dental Association and its members would like to congratulate the following dentists who were recipients of Awards:
MEDAL OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (OAM)
Brown, Grahame OAM – for service to dentistry as an educator in the speciality of endodontics and through the Royal Australian Army Dental Corps, and to gemmology.
Rasmussen, John Phillip OAM – for service to the Heritage Conservation, particularly through the New South Wales Branch of the National Trust of Australia, and to the Arts.
Toll, Ross Maxwell OAM – for service to the community through fundraising and executive roles with the Children’s Cancer Council of Australia.
MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (AM)
Greenhill, Robert Stirling AM – for service to public sector dentistry, particularly through the development of specialist orthodontic services and interdisciplinary management of patients with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies, to dental education, and to professional organizations.
Scott, Reginald Francis AM – for service to dental health through executive roles with professional organizations, and to the development of training programs for dental prosthetists.
