Adopt a Practice: Rebuilding Dental Practices in Haiti

Saturday, February 12, 2011
While donations from around the world have helped ease the initial devastation of the earthquake in Haiti, about 35 dental practices in Port-au-Prince—nearly a third of the city’s dental offices—were damaged or destroyed.

Nearly a third of the dental offices in Haiti were destroyed by the earthquake in January. Moving from disaster relief efforts to restoring dental infrastructure in earthquake-devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Health Volunteers Overseas are campaigning to raise funds to rebuild dental practices. The ADA hopes members will give generously and assist in meeting the overall goal of $350,000.
