An open letter to Queensland and Victorian Dentists
Ivoclar Vivadent Australia, as well as all Australians, have been moved by the scale of destruction and suffering as a result of the floods in Queensland and Victoria. As a company, we wanted to do something to help these communities.
Following discussions with our global CEO Ivoclar Vivadent, Mr Bob Ganley, who was in Australia during the floods, Ivoclar Vivadent Australia in conjunction with Variety, have instigated the Ivoclar Vivadent/Variety Dental Relief Program.
Our plan is to help those affected by the floods, but will also closely involve you, the dentist, for cooperation in this project. Hence, we would like to fill you in with some details regarding our relief fund.
$100,000 has been donated by Ivoclar Vivadent to Variety Australia. Variety Queensland and Victoria will implement a relief program to identify those people affected by the floods and in need of dental care that they currently cannot afford.
This assistance will take the form of 400 x $250 dental assistance vouchers, redeemable though any dental clinic. Vouchers for dental work will be allocated by Variety and given to individuals requiring assistance. The individuals go to the dentist who completes the dental work. The dentist bills Variety up to $250. Variety will then pay the dentists bill.
This scheme allows us to help those affected by these devastating floods and in turn, also help the professionals of our industry.
We’re sure that this unique relief program, in conjunction with the many other donations and support offered by Australians, will further assist the recovery effort and provide real support to those affected by the floods.
We look forward to working with you to help improve the lives of those in need.
Sincerely,
Phil Jolly
