URGENT Medical Recall on Savacol Antiseptic Mouth & Throat Rinse

Colgate–Palmolive Pty Ltd, after consultation with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, is recalling all batches of 300mL white bottle Savacol Antiseptic Mouth & Throat Rinse - Alcohol Free.

The presence of burkholderia cepacia has been found in certain batches of Savacol Antiseptic Mouth & Throat Rinse – Alcohol Free. These micro-organisms rarely cause infections in healthy people. In rare circumstances these micro-organisms may be harmful to individuals with compromised health.

With immediate effect please inspect your stocks and quarantine all bottles of the above product, then complete the  reply form and email or fax it to the Colgate Oral Care Call Centre so that they may arrange for your stock to be recovered, and a refund arranged, where applicable.
