Australian Government Senate: Community Affairs Legislation Committee Report on the Dental Benefits Amendment Bill 2012

Tuesday, October 30, 2012
One of the major issues the ADA raised with the Senate Standing Committees on Community Affairs report on Dental Benefits Amendment Bill 2012 was the need for the new Scheme to provide scope for the treatment of exceptional cases in appropriate circumstances; which was accepted by the Committee. The ADA also accepted the new Scheme permitting dental services under the Scheme being provided by dental therapists, dental hygienists, and oral health therapists in accordance with DBA's Scope of practice requirements.
