The effect of interocclusal appliances on temporomandibular joints as assessed by 3D reconstruction of MRI scans
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enables simultaneous visualization of hard and soft tissues. The aims of the present study were to computer generate three-dimensional images, reconstructed from MRI scans of normal temporomandibular joints, to assess the relative positions of the disc, condyle and articular surface of the temporal bone and to study the effect of two mandibular group function interocclusal appliances.

A protocol for the dental management of von Willebrand’s disease, haemophilia A and haemophilia B
A guide for the dental management of the three inherited bleeding disorders, von Willebrand's disease, haemophilia A and haemophilia B, was established jointly by the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science Transfusion and Haemostasis Unit in conjunction with the Medically Compromised Dental Unit at the Adelaide Dental Hospital. This protocol was subjected to a successful trial for 24 months.

A selected population of children with disabilities in Melbourne, Australia, was studied with reference to 300 children (aged 9-13 years), 150 attending special development schools and 150 attending special schools, received an oral examination and the parent/guardian completed a questionnaire.

CASE REPORT

A late developing mandibular premolar supernumerary tooth
This paper presents a case of a patient who developed a mandibular premolar supernumerary tooth between the age of 11 and 20 years. Evidence for the late development of the supernumerary tooth comes from consecutive panoramic radiographs. A review of the international literature concerning late developing supernumerary teeth is included.
