E-Waste Recycling

We all want to reduce waste and recycle where we can.

Did you know there are several locations to drop off recyclable E-waste items for no fee?

Since 2013, items listed have been banned from landfill and should be taken to a suitable e-waste recycling facility. Many of the items listed can include rare metals and can be extracted and re-used. Other materials can be hazardous to the environment if not disposed of in the correct manner.

E-waste: items that have a cord, battery or switch. Examples include televisions, computers and laptops, cables & towers, printers, scanners, keyboards, PC mouse, white goods, microwave ovens, heaters, ovens, and phones.

Visit Electronics Recycling Australia website for further information www.electronicrecylingaustralia.com.au

Other commonly found recyclable items within your dental practice include empty blister packs, toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes, stationery (eg pens, highlighters, toner cartridges), lids from plastic milk, juice and other bottles.
