Message from Incoming President

First and foremost, I would like to thank Dr Vaibhav Garg for his dedication to all the work he has contributed to the ADA SA. He has led the team with grace, collegiality and calmness, and his impact to the organization has not gone unnoticed.

Along with our diverse Council Members and support provided by our amazing ADA SA Branch Team, you would have noticed an increased number of communications and events implemented in the past two years.

Moving ahead with the next 12 months, with our ADA SA Branch Team and new project officer, we will continue to strengthen and deliver a wide range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events to our members. We will be developing and deliver a new strategy to engage all affiliated societies to better our collaboration and service delivery.

We will also continue to work with SA Dental and other parties in the delivery of SA Oral Health Plan and SA Rural Oral Health Workforce Plan. With the newly formed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inclusion Committee, we hope to address and improved oral health specific cultural competency and dental workforce in remote and regional areas.

There will be more work ahead of us. However, we, the Council and the Branch Team will continue to ensure our Branch objectives are met, namely: Promote ethical standards in dentistry; Improve the oral and general health of the community; Advance the science and practice of dentistry and Advance and represent the interests of Members. I am looking forward to working with our fellow current and new Council Members, Branch Team and fellow ADA members. If you have any inquiries, ideas and comments, please do not hesitate to approach any of the committee members or myself. We are here for you.

Dr Keng Yeoh
Branch President
