Honolulu March 2006
About 100 people from APEC countries gathered at the American Association of Endodontists meeting to celebrate the camaraderie of APEC. The meeting was hosted by the AAE and sponsored by Elseviere. The meeting was addressed by the APEC President, Dr Gerald Lim from Singapore and Dr Sam Dorn, the USA councillor to APEC. A councillors meeting was held before the cocktail party.
Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 2005
The 13th Scientific congress was held during the 27th Asian Pacific Dental Congress. The APEC meeting was a full day precongress meeting with over 500 attendees. The tenth Biennial General Meeting was held after the endodontic symposium. More Details of Kuala Lumpur 2005 - Including Pictures!!
Brisbane Australia 2004
An APEC social event was held during the IFEA 6th Endodontic World Congress in Brisbane. This was a cocktail party sponsored by the Gunz Corporation. Over 100 people attended. More Details of Brisbane 2004 - Including Pictures!!
Manila Philippines 2003
The 12th Scientific congress was held during the ADPF meeting. The meeting was a half day meeting . Over 200 people attended. The Ninth Biennial General Meeting was held before the endodontic symposium. More Details of Manila 2003 - Including Pictures!!
Seoul Korea 2002
The 11th Scientific congress was held during the ADPF meeting in conjunction with the Korean Academy of Endodontics. A general meeting was held before the endodontic symposium-not listed as a Biennial General Meeting. The meeting was a full day meeting (Theme: Pain in Endodontic Practice). This included scientific discussions and poster presentations in the morning and panel discussion in the afternoon. Over 200 people attended. More Details of Korea 2002.
Taipei Taiwan 2001
The 10th Scientific meeting was held prior to the APDF meeting, co-hosted by the Taiwan Endodontic Society. The 8th Bienniel General Meeting was held after the Endodontic Symposium.
Osaka Japan 2000
The 9th Scientific meeting was held prior to the APDF meeting. (No General Meeting held).
Singapore 1999
The 8th Scientific Conference of APEC, co-hosted by the Society of Endodontists, Singapore. Half day Pre-Congress lecture meeting with 220 participants prior to the APDC meeting, preceded by a General Meeting where 9 countries were represented.
Seoul 1997
The 7th Scientific Conference of APEC, co-hosted by the Korea Korean Academy of Endodontics. Half day lecture meeting with 150 participants prior to the FDI meeting, preceded by Sixth Biennial General Meeting where 5 countries were represented.
Hong Kong 1995
The 6th Scientific Conference of APEC - a half day lecture meeting prior to the Federation Dentaire Internationale (FDI) meeting with 150 attendees. (No General Meeting held).
Manila 1994
The 5th Scientific Conference of APEC, co-hosted by the The Philippines Endodontic Society of The Philippines - a half day Pre-Congress APDC meeting with 600 attendees and then a General Meeting where 6 countries were represented.
Kuala Lumpur 1993
The 4th Scientific Conference of APEC jointly organized Malaysia by the Malaysian Endodontic Society, in conjunction with the APDC. A half day lecture course attended by 500 people, followed by a General Meeting with 6 countries represented.
Auckland 1992
The 3rd Scientific Conference of APEC, co-hosted by the New Zealand New Zealand Endodontic Society - a one day Pre-Congress lecture meeting prior to the APDC, attended by 200 people followed by a General Meeting with 5 countries represented.
Seoul 1989
The 2nd Scientific Conference of APEC was held during Korea the APDC - a half day lecture meeting with 50 participants, followed by a General Meeting with 8 countries represented.
New Delhi 1988
The 1st Scientific Conference of APEC in conjunction with India the Asian Pacific Dental Congress (APDC). Half day lecture meeting attended by approx. 150 people, followed by a General Meeting with 8 countries represented.
Manila 1986
Second organisational meeting - with 20 representatives The Philippines from 6 countries. The Constitution and By-Laws were adopted and the name “Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation” (abbreviated to APEC) was accepted.
Bangkok 1985
First organisational meeting - to establish a federation Thailand of endodontic associations in the Asian Pacific region Eight national associations and societies were represented.
