Damian Mitsch


Damian is a career association professional who has held executive roles in some of Australia’s largest allied health membership organisations. Responsible for the overall management of the ADA, Damian has had previous company directorship experience including positions on the Board of Austin Health, The Butterfly Foundation, Chair of the National Primary Health Care Partnership, a director of Allied Health Professions Australia and President of The Bridge Inc. He is passionate about innovation, change and leadership and holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


Eithne Irving

Deputy CEO & General Manager, Policy

As the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Policy, Eithne has responsibility for a wide range of issues affecting the dental profession. With extensive experience in both clinical and regulatory environments, Eithne has unique access to government and regulatory bodies bureaucracy that ensures the ADA’s voice is heard at all levels. She represents the ADA on a number of external bodies where she is a knowledgeable and articulate advocate for the dental profession. Photo credited to Arthur Mostead.



Matthew Connor

General Manager, Corporate Services

Passionate about leading the marketing, IT, and Finance strategy of the Association, Matt works across the entire organisation in pursuit of enriching the professional lives of members and promoting oral health. A passionate believer in keeping members fully informed and equipped, Matt is responsible for executing on IT projects, stratregic finance, and achieving marketing goals aligned with the ADA's strategic plan. A sitting member of the Australian Dental Research Foundation's Marketing & Fundraising committee.


Oscar van Elten

General Manager, Education, Events & Sales

Since 2009, Oscar has led the team that delivers the Australian Dental Association’s signature event - the Australian Dental Congress. He further manages partnerships, lifestyle benefits and non-membership revenue for the Association including national advertising and the ADA’s Seal of Approval program. Oscar also administers the ADA’s National Education portfolio and National Digital Library.
An event manager for almost 30 years with a series of successful event management, hire and d├ęcor and event marketing entities to his credit, Oscar also provides his professional and philanthropic support to an assortment of Australian charities such as the Starlight Foundation and Red Nose.
