The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is responsible for regulating therapeutic goods such as prescription medicines, vaccines, sunscreens, vitamins and minerals, medical devices, blood and blood products and ensuring that they meet an acceptable standard.

Almost any product for which therapeutic claims are made must be entered in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) before it can be supplied in Australia. In order for dental products to be exhibited at the Australian Dental Congress they must be entered into the ARTG.

For further detailed information regarding compliance please refer to the TGA website
