ADA/PFA Nominees

The Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) is dedicated to advancing the boundaries of dental science and to encouraging the pursuit of the highest professional standards for the dental profession. 

A key part of this year’s Congress programme, the ADA/PFA National Emerging Young Lecturer Competition presents five ADA Branch-nominated young clinicians who will showcase their clinical skills and research before delegates in a 15-minute presentation, judged by a panel of four judges, comprising representatives of the ADA and PFA.

Dr Kate Amos

Currently an adjunct lecturer in the faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in the department of Health Professions Education and Education Research at Monash University, Kate published a guide to Clinical. more >

Dr Alexander Holden

Dr Alexander Holden is currently a lecturer in Dental Ethics, Law and Professionalism at the University of Sydney. He qualified as a dentist in the UK before completing further qualifications in law and dental public. more >

Dr Gwendolyn Huang

A specialist in Paediatric Dentistry, Gwendolyn was inducted as a Fellow with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2015. A Fellow of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry, Women’s and Children. more >

Dr Abdulhameed Husain

A registrar in Oral Medicine at the University of Western Australia, Abdulhameed is a member of the Gulf Federation for Cancer Control and he was also appointed as an assistant registrar in Kuwait Cancer Control Centre. more >

Dr Yu Yao Teoh

Dr. Yu-Yao Teoh graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 2014 and received the Vardiman Dental Study Association prize for highest clinical marks in forth year. He is about to complete a post-graduate. more >
