Professional Development

  • 4.1 Continuing Professional Development

The ADA does not endorse the mandatory CPD levels required by the Board; it does however provide appropriate CPD resources to assist members to comply with the Board's requirements and to ensure sustained quality patient care.

  • 4.2 Sponsored Continuing Professional Development Activities

Sponsorship of CPD activities by commercial entities must be declared upfront, and can’t be allowed to distort the scientific basis of any activity; commercial presentations at exhibitions cannot be considered as CPD.

  • 4.4 Creation of Continuing Professional Development Products

The Australian Dental Association (ADA) is a producer and provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for its members and aims to provide quality and commercially transparent CPD. The ADA expects certain conditions and undertakings to be observed when CPD products and services are created.
